i'll mention it in the page when i wake up in the morning, but i love to draw portraits, animals (deer, mostly), and OCs! haven't delved much into anthro/furry stuff but it's never too late to try

due to popular demand (gojo), an essay about nihilism is now up! (https://cervidaze.me/interests/articles/nihilism) also changed the site's fonts for hopefully better readability

I absolutely love this essay and am so very glad that you posted it. I'll admit I got a little emotional reading, "the very existence of the queer community is living proof that the collapse of traditional values and meanings does not have to result in the destruction of mankind."

when you brought up Tyler from Fight Club as an example of a completely negatively polarized nihilistic character, I then thought of Joy from Everything Everywhere All at Once as someone who was nearing that extreme. You're not wrong that media and culture currently propose nihilism as inherently negative - it's extremely popular to do so.

The ending of EEAAO imo proposes that "nothing matters" is not a negative sentiment. To remove yourself from the shackles of things having to "matter" can also mean the redefining of the self.

(said shakily) new blog post, did a site breakdown after seeing aid's breakdown :') (https://cervidaze.me/blog/posts/2025-11-22-sitebreakdown)
your site is always so impressive to me bc mine is held together with spit and foil stickers. watching you and aid talk about site stuff i'm just like https://i.redd.it/c9hawlw1xn491.jpg
the preloading thing is sooo one of those things where you don't know you don't know. if you don't already know it exists then you can't find out what it is. coding needs SO MUCH LESS of that thanks
holy shit that preloading thing??? i wonder if it’ll work with my layout since i always have a flash of my sidebar/header not being there bc it’s loaded thru JS… interesting read though thank you!!!! OOCSS is an interesting concept i never rlly thought abt
very cool and informative writeup
@joro your spit and foil stickers site is gorgeous and i stand by that every day
@ua THIS oh my fucking god, it took me so long to even find out the FOUC term. so much pain could have been spared
@aid i'm so certain preloading your nav JS would help a lot! and thank you :0 OOCSS has been really nice to work with, i can build new pages/layouts so much faster and cleaner now
@wang thank you O7 much appreciated
