So what’s the process for not having to see everyone’s activity feed posts?

I found a way to hide 'X followed Y' as well as posts like this one, but the caveat with the method I'm using is that it's only possible to hide by type, not by user and such

@isaacfish I have a basic tutorial on how to block single elements/posts, but the process for hiding all posts/follow notifications deviates a little, so I'll create another video tutorial sometime soon! (https://youtu.be/qhakT--Ag4E)

I'm mostly just wanting to block the Twitter-esque shit that's been going on lately, ugh.

I don't have ublock, my browser has a built-in ad-blocker, but might be able to do it with custom stylesheets..

Made a video tutorial on how hide elements of your newsfeed -- like I mentioned before, the big caveat is that you can only block feed items of the same type, and can't choose which users to get posts from. Steps and other info are in the description: https://youtu.be/rKam8JNoE7Q

Alternate method: if you can apply custom CSS to a website (I use the extension Stylus), just apply ".news-item.comment {display:none;}" to neocities - that's currently working for me ^^

Yeah, the inability to block all or none isn't gonna do it for me, thanks tho! Some people - most people - I still want to see their updates. There's some tho I'd rather not. The quest continues.
