my b, you have More Info -> on all the pages up top. im small brain and would love a <- Back link instead that goes to the big wall of stories

I am skeptical that you will make it to January 1st, 2027 without redesigning this website.

@zock Browser back button won't work if you access a URL directly, use alternative browsers or accessibility technologies, splatter jelly donut on the corner of your screen...

@emily and @skep have just swapped positions in the No Happy Friends Scoreboard™ for their betrayal of my willpower and defense of my design decisions, respectively

It's nice to be able to read them on the home page, but it's also nice to be able to send links to specific posts. There would ideally be pages for each post even if the full text is included on the home page.

I like the revamp so bingeable! I like zerocks idea w links tho maybe anchor tags or whatever they’re called

i have the anchors built in currently, but not permalink versions. i think if i built out a perma of each post i'd probably just go with links on the front page again, albeit with this much simpler and compact aesthetic compared to the previous version of the site. tbd. need time to consider
I prefer a small number of links on the homepage, then a sitemap on a separate page with links to everything, and keeping posts on another page.
sitemap or blog archive or both, depending on what you're going for and how you want things organised

What you have now is very neat, but it limits the ability to easily look over titles and for someone to choose something to read.

this isn't at all what you asked but i personally would love to be able to look through all the "tags" you've used. i want to read everything tagged "blueberry"

current index sitch (full text of every post with no links) is simultaneously great and also the worst. i respect and fear it.

the joke of half the tags is that there's no other post with that tag. i hand-code everything, i actually implemented working tags previously but it's just a pain to update. the old system would be like update 6 or 7 pages as well as creating the actual content. in theory, current index means i just write the content and then i'm done. but i understand there is literally zero audience quality of life with this design

oh yeah i figured there's a lot of unique tags. i'd be happy with just a list of the tags you've used so far, no links to any of the pieces using them. I've also thought about a hand-coded working tag system but the closest I've got is my archive thingie: a proper tag system sounds like a faff

maybe have a table of contents at the beginning and use permalinks to help people jump between the anchors and the table of contents. that way, the whole thing would be on a single page.

@skep imagining the lyric as "pickle lover" just made my day, thank you. please write a top 10 pickles post.
Well I don't want to make a scene...
