just realised how recent the 'pinch-to-zoom' gesture is. was watching minority report (which is from 2002 i think), and their futuristic sci-fi interfaces don't use it. this is real weird to think about

oh yes, the urge to delete everything. I know that feeling. You want to escape some people, but then you purge everything, just to come back again. But I did deleted my facebook profile 7 years ago, and im on my third (and final) instagram, but now I only follow people that I personaly know and a few blogs and buisnesses. I dont have the app anymore, and I only check my profile every few days. It works for me! :)

just found out that the phrase "steep learning curve" originally had the opposite meaning (being quick and easy to learn). I guess that means you'd be going down the slope instead of up it? anyways

It is...and it isn't. I always thought it was this guy in the 90s Dean Rubine, but there are patents going before that.
But you can certainly argue the modern application is post-Minority Report!
