Report from Substack: long form content creators are saying their paid subs are dropping off completely. The platform is trying to do too much and they're actively driving people away from the long form content. It's almost impossible to physically find blog posts in the UI now, which favors the doomscroll/shitpost feed and audio/video podcasting. There's no money in long form content.
Her ancient phone's screen finally cracks. Screen inaccessible. She puts the old phone into a bowl of water so it will turn off and she can re-sync all her blueteeth to her new phone. Several days later, the remnants of screen still show signs of lighting up. She removes it from the water. A few hours after that, a low battery warning beeps on the cracked phone. This thing is invincible.
All of that for a bland & impersonal site that isn't even yours.
