Hope your surgery goes well. If you can get someone around for that first week just so you have help if you need it, it could make a big difference, especially if you're not able to move much. Maybe you could grab someone for the first few days and then swap out with someone else for the next few days if no one is around to commit to a full week.
@pixelglade - thanks for the suggestions! One of my friends is already figuring out a rota and everyone knows how I feel about all the people all the time so I think we're all on the same page of seeing how it goes after the first few days.
