Relatable. I find myself torn between wanting to make more friends/spend time with those I have and wanting to do all of the hobbies work prevents me from doing as much as I want. There needs to be at least 5 more days of weekend each week.

Just want to say, I also have periods of isolation and also don't use social media much and sometimes don't know how to interact with people... but that's also kind of why I'm here in the first place. A lot of the traits that make you grumpy about socialising and small talk and pettiness is also (I like to think) some of the things that probably made you want to be part of the small web. Silver lining maybe.

Also sometimes you just need to take hiatus's from things, so when you do engage in your hobbies again you can actually find enjoyment in them.

I have been having similar thoughts lately about isolation and friendships, also social media - I love the way you phrased "I still find myself pacing around a select few sites, and looking for content to occupy my time." no solutions just saying I am here with you.
