I do love a good family saga (The Bee Sting included!) Have you read Jane Smiley's "The Last Hundred Years" trilogy? The first book in the series is Some Luck. I remember really enjoying that, although the last book goes a little haywire because Smiley's starting point was like ~95 years before the date when the book was published, so she had a go at predicting the future with... mixed results. But worth a read!

Cool list of places! I'm also intrigued by what it'd be like to live on a really remote island. I recently read an article about Orkney and all the interesting prehistory stuff there and it really made me want to visit.

i have endometriosis as well and didn't get diagnosed until i had a hysterectomy lol . it's so frustrating to not know for sure but to keep having to trial-and-error treat symptoms, i really empathize with this, sending you a hug if you'd like and a firm handshake if not <3

Endo truly is such a little monster. Feels like wandering through a dark forest of questions with no answers at times. Thank you so much & I'll accept a hug <3

Very relatable blog post. Those sort of exercises are my nightmare. Or something like "name three interesting facts about yourself" - I don't know!! (Also your ex sounds like a jerk.)
Previews struggling to show up I see but I wrote teo blogposts about: 1. My terrible patterns when in love and 2. Ten facts about myself.
people can get used to the damndest things sometimes (re staying in unhappy relations)
