i use a brush with a long handle for most things. the only other thing i can think of is rubber gloves for cleaning, but ones with long cuffs

This is maybe too much, but I handmake cotton washcloths because I don't like how store ones feel. They can still be a bit "ugh" if I make the wrong size, or the stitches are too dense, so it's not very foolproof at all.
