i know exactly who you're talking about. they're such a small minority here on neocities, and they've only been here for a few months. you shouldn't let some children ruin your experience.
@behavior - really working to not let them ruin my experience, which isn't actually that hard. I've gone from commenting to reading to scrolling past it. I just don't want the good parts of this community - of which there are a great number, for me at least - to be overshadowed by that nonsense.
Their behavior is so childish and absurd it’s best just to laugh and carry on with your business. The beauty of small web is that you don’t have to appease an audience and are not gonna be deplatformed by the thought police. Funny how it’s always the ones with the most girly pink sweet-looking sites for some reason lol.
Pretty much sums up why I ended up closing up shop, we're on the same page for sure. I thought I was signing up for a Geocities alternative and ended up with another social media fiasco to try to navigate. It's exhausting and honestly sucked all the fun out of it in the end.
yea i think i know who you're talking about & it's just, this person is really trying to turn neocities into the kind of toxic social media most people came here to leave. the fact that it's a grown ass adult doing this too, just yikes. that being said tho, & as others pointed out, it's still a small minority that it's not enough to ruin neo. disabling the profile is such a nice feature i wish ppl would use more lmao
@wmbu - it's definitely a minority of people and not just one, but there are certainly some more problematic than others. Just gonna prune my following list as I run into the shitty ones.
