I’ve never seen her Alice or Hobbit illustrations, but her artwork for her Moomin books was a large part of the magic while reading them as a child. Even returning to them as an adult, I find them very special. Just recently bought her autobiography of her childhood which I have to get around to reading. I’ve also got a third picture book coming from England that I couldn’t get here. Thanks for the link.
If you haven’t read them, you should give them a go. Especially if you have a kid you know who needs a present.
I can safely say I have never read a single Moomin - gonna have to give it a whirl, I can easily pass them along to my niece
Congratulations! A bronze level Penelope for joo!: https://letslearntogether.neocities.org/awards/bronze.html
man must be hell trying to run outside with the plague and everything, and I'd imagine running with a mask would be much harder. Maybe really early it's easier to avoid people while running?
Hey I actually started running and riding my bike like crazy during the outbreak. Most people on the road and trails are mindful of space, but not everybody. That's why I like to pocket a mask or go in the middle of the day or later in the evening when there are fewer people out. If I'm on a narrow trail for a while, I'll just wear the mask. The blue paper masks aren't too bad for this.
so you're the reason we're so lively now eh? good job
