Lol! I hear ya. I had a bunch of Amazon affiliate links to books on my website before, but I didn't sell the requisite 3 items in the first month to keep it active so my account got declined.
It's all good! If you decide to go through with it, try to have someone that you know buy a few items through your links to get past that acct. verification though. 😄
