Last year in November we got what we thought was snow (in the Phoenix, AZ area) but was actually *graupel*, also called *soft hail* or *snow pellets.* Happens when wind circulation in a cloud makes a snowflake gather supercooled water droplets.
we also had hail last night!! (although none of the pieces were that big thankfully). also in the case that your area is also tornado-prone, stay safe!! hail and tornados really like to stick together :(
it hails so rarely where I live, I've never seen one even close to that size, it must be kinda scary when they come down
oo yes hailstorms! my last car had a flippin great dent in it from where it got hit by a hailstone the size of a hackeysack lol
i live in a region that gets hail and tornados regularly this time of year. It's no fun 🙃
Somehow I lived in a hail-prone area for 3 years and never got to see any. Hope I never do!

I'd say that's some pretty big hail!
