you ever really think about how the norm in japan is that one person, give or take, draws a serialized comic for a magazine, and after a while if it's successfull a studio of thousands takes that one man's work and makes a whole ass animated series of it
and those poor animators get paid like nothing. Kyoto Animation actually treated their workers well, but there was a terrorist attack at one of their buildings. :((
watched The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya a few days ago: masterpiece - I think they just went into the reunion room and "ok how about we make the best movie ever?" and someone was like "oh we might be onto something there"
