i'm trying to implement modals, but when the modal opens i find my ::before and ::after images for headers display over the modal. i'm not finding what to do on google. does anybody here know? :,)

orrr i guess i can not use modals but they just seemed easiest for what i want to use them for lol
add a z-index your modal container. .modal { z-index: 9999 }
