article you recommended about the MFA-ification of literature was really good! it's a topic i am supremely interested in. have you read "the oracular outsiders and the homework doers" on estragon? if not i must recommend it, very similar in subject matter but i appreciate how it goes into MFA literature's pretenses of inclusion and the way it uses these pretenses to shield its rampant exclusion

of different economic classes, levels of ability, occupations, etcetera, as well as those on the margins of society who in fact often have fascinating perspectives. i feel like one could potentially draw a connection between this and the concept of "outsider art," the name of which is often criticized for being needlessly stigmatizing... was gonna say more but forgot LOLOL

hey mel, amazing new vid, please never stop makin em! where i live now in europe theres also a whole lotta nothing between me and the big box supermarket with its massive parking lot. instead of concrete flatlands in between its what used to be homes and shops,but they have holes punched in their roofs as big as cars. suppose we have americana a bit now too.

This latest video ruuuuled, I really loved it! So many topics (esp the critique of Norman Rockwell + the intro about liminal space experiences) are feeding into stuff I've already been mulling over a lot in 2026, namely like.. my own nostalgia for the comfort of not having a clue how fabricated the American Dream was, and also how unsettled it makes me now to think about, navigating life now? Can't wait to rewatch!
