i like this update. also, am i supposed to see ads on your fc2 mirror? i was curious how they go about placing them but i can't seem to see any, no matter the browser i use (with adblockers and shields and whatnot turned off)

There's actually just some text at the bottom of the page in my browser, but when I put my whole site there with frames it was all over the place.

i remember the first time i got the nectar app to get points and better prices at sainsburys they would douse me in those virtual scratch cards and i ended up getting so many points off them. im talking probably 100-150 pounds off in points alone over the course of a year. now it's been a few solid years since i last cashed in my points and, checking now, i accumulated a whole 5.36 pounds worth of points!

@freckleskies That reminds me. Back in 2017, Walmart’s app had a feature where you could scan your receipt and get a small percentage back in store credit. At the time, I was working for a sweeper company that cleaned the local Walmart parking lots (among others). Every shift, I’d pick up stray receipts and scan them. On average, I would rack up about $100 a week in credit. Good times.

@freckleskies I think they lure us in with the better deals at the start. I "won" £10 off my next shop the first time I used the app, although the checkout assistant remarked that this was rare.

@phailsnail I did this a couple of times with another store's card where you could cash in receipts where you'd supposedly forgotten to present your discout card, but you could do this same with receipts from the ground outside the store. Really needed to find the long, high value, receipts though.
