I looked at your website and liked the design, I am trying to build a 90's Yahoo style web portal with neocities search and directory, and web search and directory, The url is neoportal.neocities.org, Could you maybe help with the design?

Sorry but we're not looking to work on any more projects right now. Our hands are already full with districts. We wish you luck with your site though!

One of our comments seems to have disappeared (thanks Kyle) so instead we'll just post this here for everyone: when it comes to how often we update, as per our FAQ: " We update when we update! We don't have an official schedule or anything of the sort."

We'd rather get a decent chunk of sites together than just put up one or two every day. districts has never operated in that way and still will not be. We do not usually give out estimates, but to ease off all of your anticipation this time we're looking at an update in the next couple of weeks or so.

This should be answered clearly enough in our FAQ, which points out what we look for in a site and how we search for them; but basically, we dig through Neocities every now and then to look for sites to add, and if we can categorize them, and they have a decent amount of content, they’ll get added to the listings.

@lempamo Consider it noted, but you'll be off next update. As for you, @humanraccoon, it appeared to us as if you'd started hosting elsewhere? This is districts for Neocities after all, so any users that moved off site got removed. If this isn't the case we're happy to readd you, and we apologize.

We've already decided to add your site elsewhere than Purgatory hence your removal from the district. We have no plans to add any extra features to the districts site right now but we thank you for your suggestion.

Thank you! We don’t really see a need for a ‘blogs’ district since we sort by subject rather than format - a blog about video games would go in Arcadia, a blog about literature/writing would go in Stratford, a blog about computing of any sort would end up in Silicon Valley and so on. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

DIY and crafts type stuff could easily fit in Arles, take a look at godsavetheking. A blog about the writer themselves could get into Stratford. We do not need any more districts right now; Purgatory is tiny and almost all of our sites fit in the districts we already have.
