there’s so much interesting stuff to read on this site that it’s hard to get through everything in just one day! i think we have pretty similar tastes and hobbies, so i found a lot of your articles really interesting :)

i especially loved how the notes are displayed at the same height as the part of the text they refer to. it makes everything so much easier to read, and honestly, that’s such a great idea! i’ll definitely come back whenever you post more interesting stuff!

Thanks so much 😄 my dissatisfaction with the way blogging platforms handle footnotes was my catalyst for getting back into website-making, so it's really nice to know my efforts haven't been in vain. Your website looks gorgeous but I'm stuck on my phone, so I'll have a proper look when I get home later (it seems nice and responsive but I want to get the full experience)

i finally found someone else on neocities who reviews games like i do :) in my case, i started out posting steam reviews just as a hobby, and later got invited to join a steam curator, so i ended up becoming pretty active there.

i also find your reviews really interesting because you use a scoring system similar to mine. i usually look through a lot of other reviews too because i try to keep my own reviews as factual as possible, so i have a feeling i’ll be visiting this site pretty often!

Wow, I can't believe I missed that while browsing your site! 480 reviews is insanely impressive! I have a few reviews on my steam account, but I haven't really went that deep since my steam library is pretty small. I think I'll probably check your reviews out soon too with a translator app, they seem well made from the format alone!

there are so many amazing works here! i’m not a modern art major either, but i’m really interested in it, so i often look for works like these. i’ll definitely come back often to see more of your artworks!

Thank you so much! :,) I was immediately amazed by your art, design, and programming skills... and how you applied them to your site. Everything feels so well integrated and "sensory", like I'm at a little pixel beach... I will add you to the "Sites I Like" page soon! https://maxbanshees.com/blog/webring/sites-i-like

such a well-made y2k site with a creepy vibe! at first, i thought the music you composed sounded like electronic music from a horror game, but once the saxophone came in, it gave the whole track a completely different feel. i really liked it!

I absolutely love the theme of your website; it really screams summer -- and fall is starting here, so I'm happy to see even a pixelated sun haha. I think my favourite part of the design was the bubble links, so cute. And the content? *chef's kiss* Would you be open to swapping links? Totally okay if my site's not your vibe haha. I'm still going to link you in sites I like if that's okay :)

the design turned out really well! the combination of black, yellow, and pink gives it a really polished look because the neutral and bright colors contrast so strongly. the colors fit the overall vibe of the site really well, and i love how it looks like a memo covered with different tags. it’s really nice to look at. i definitely learned a thing or two from this :) and gir is adorable <3

I am so jealous of your parallax effect! How did you get it to span the entire screen width? On my shoreline page, there is just this gap and it is so annoying!

dizzt3942 19 hours ago

on my site, i basically use width: 100vw margin-left: calc(50% - 50vw) to make the section extend outside of the main container.

dizzt3942 19 hours ago

i also use background-size: cover background-position: center so the image fills the whole area without leaving any empty space. i'm not sure if this will fix the exact issue you're having, but i hope it helps

maybe some of the parent container styles are affecting it i had a pretty rough time while making mine too. i actually ended up rebuilding my site about twice because of problems like this, so i totally get how frustrating it can be. i really hope you find a solution that works well for you :)
