Hmmm, there's now a checkbox in your settings you might wanna disable to plausibly avoid AIs crawling into your website and that's kinda it. There have been a few dramas here and there but you don't need to worry about those (ᵕ—ᴗ—).. How are you doing Kanan?

Im lowkey worried about after i graduate i won't have any more time to work on this site or all my other hobby then I'll have a rlly boring life oof...

honestly i feel like college is two jobs put together, youve got the actual lectures/classes/labs and then homework/studying. once youre out of that ur definitely gonna have more time to do what you want. with work once youre off your shift you dont really have to think about it (for most jobs).

College student here! Usually doing tiny parts of my website everyday. This could be updating some (s)css, making minor quality of life features only I would notice, or adding my art and ramblings. All of these take me very little time to do because git and the SSG streamlines the process. Maybe that's what you need? Finding a system that is comfortable and easy. Not necessarily SSG; anything to get you in a rhythm!

Thank u guys for ur advice! I'll try to find more spare time for this site (hope so)

I work full-time and study part-time. I find that doing a little bit every day, even if it's only five minutes, helps. Perhaps it's a mental thing? Like, you've done a tiny bit so your brain is satisfied that you've done something. That works for most hobbies too. But then I don't follow my own advice very well...Good luck with your college studies!

Links this week include a gorgeous 300 year old watercolor color-swatch book that is viewable in full page, hi res scans, a story about stadium hot dog launchers and a look at the Open Street Map cartographers of North Korea. There's a Halloween code jam to join, I've found a new online community to be part of and I talk about coming across someone's attempt to rebuild her mother's old website.

I also share some Libby app tips, some more Weird Web October links and some of the sites I found while exploring Pixel Area.

I wouldn't have that much stuff in my annual wrap up let alone a weekly! Great stuff always something interesting in there, thank you

Ooh, quxnet... you know i've had this dilemma with these new social old websites. Part of me wants to join because i do miss this kind of internet, but part of me just gets so exhausted and overwhelmed by the notion of registering for yet ANOTHER social website. I don't want to keep track of yet another separate website as my reclusive self don't have the energy for that...but god damn it i want to contribute.

v0idspace 1 day ago

I made a user, gonna force myself to try. Based on what i seen, so far, it is interesting.

divergentrays 1 day ago

@p7uen - ha! yes, this week's post was kinda beefy and more link-y than usual. And thanks! Glad you're able to find something interesting in the posts! @v0idspace - I hear you - it's hard enough to keep up with ONE place on the web. But I find this one really nice and not hard at all to make part of my daily routine. So glad you're giving it a try!
