Hey guys! I wasn't here for the outage, but apparently there was one. I suggest looking at Neocities Bluesky posts for more clarity: https://bsky.app/profile/neocities.org/post/3mnkqgxostk2k TL;DR for the posts: court order from country Neocities doesn't work in sent a report about Neocities to Namecheap, Namecheap took it at face value, court realized the issue, took both the court and Neocities 4ever to get back up

APNG's are great because you can render in the alpha channel, which you cannot with .gifs. I use them exclusively in babelofdreams.neocities.org for z-indexing animated stuff with Alpha channel. It's also a lot older a format than I initially thought. Created in the early 2000s by Mozilla, and was considered dead because the PNG group rejected it (those bastards).
