i've been lucky to find a coding professor that not only disapproves of AI, but also does his best to make people learn how to not depend on it. it's funny as fuck being the only one able to explain their code when he calls the students to the front of the class lmao

this model u mention seems to have great ram and storage. excellent choice. id be weary if it has an intel processor tho cuz lately some intel processors have been melting. i prefer amd processors. lenovo is very good. thinkpads are awesome. personally i have a lenovo yoga 7, which is like a similar laptop but different.

I can understand that... 90% my classmates will use Chatgpt for all the things (slides for presentation, scripts for speaking). HELL the teacher maybe knew but didn't said anything, it sucks. The other teacher expressed disappointment once and said sth similar to "you guys gotta know how to use it". AI just made us lost all the critical thinking actually...

this is always a tough spot to be in! we started using AI at work recently as well, and it's difficult to get around because they now have timing expectations. work should not take the amount of hours that it used to :( at least they aren't being strict in how we use it! sometimes you can save time by looking something up and seeing what someone else did, and then you don't have to use the AI
