Nice site! I'm curious what's the technology that powers the simulations for your research? I'm assuming you're ssh-ing into some shared compute and editing something?

Thanks! I mainly run GPU accelerated simulations. Some people run massively parallel simulations on CPU research clusters (e.g. Archer 2). However accessing GPU clusters is expensive and difficult (you need a large budget) and funders tend to prioritise AI related work. With my limited budget then I run my simulations on two desktop GPU workstations which works well enough for up-to several hundred thousand particles

to people who have changed their domain name: does it really mess everything up? neocities says it does. i dont rly care about appearing in search results or whatever, though im thinking of using a cool pseudonym instead of my first name, for privacy :0

Neocities does give a very scary warning, but I haven't noticed anything. I didn't care about search results or view count, but the latter seems to have only gone up since I changed domain! Webrings and those that have your button on their website will have to edit them though

Made a 2nd account because my OCD doesn't want my timeline or whatever to be full of outgoing messages. I wanted to say, I read Medievalmaxxing a while ago, and it's been rattling in my head ever since. I just got a new (used) vehicle after totalling my old truck, and with this new one comes a fresh start.

PS I will check out the new page! I also keep girl-army and girl-ben-elohim on here as I maintain a few sites! Those other two aren't much for creative works or writing though, just mobile friendly splash pages for some of my other digital work like UGC and such and a mobile optimized "link in bio" page I need to redo lol.
