Hoping districts gets a chance to visit the Boutique. I kind of hope you all will make a scifi/fantasy section like Area51 from old GeoCities.

We’re sorry to say that no, we probably won’t be getting an Area51 or adding any new districts (for the time being, anyway). We add districts on a ‘need’ basis and find that for the moment we wouldn’t really have enough sites to warrant an Area51 or similar district and can sort them elsewhere.

We usually just comb through Neocities looking for sites ourselves. You're free to ask on our page, or point out a site that you think deserves to be here though. Rest assured, we'll get to checking out everyone who's commented on our page eventually.

they usually scope sites themself and add as they please :0 the site is being remastered so it'll be a while till new sits get added i assume nvjnvjnvf

If you're not part of any district but would still like to link back to us, we would suggest using the main districts button. However, thanks to the staff change we no longer own the rights to the design of Seb, so currently we'd advise you to either wait until we have new buttons or use the text only version. But yes, linking to us is fine! We're glad you enjoy districts enough to want to do so.

We already have one, in fact! It's been posted in one of the various Neocities Discords a while back, but the rest of you will see him next update. (Or you can try and dig to find him.. It wouldn't be too hard!)

They manually add people every month or two. Just be patient and you might be in the next update!

Just a little note to those who aren’t included on our listings but are either waiting to be added or curious about getting onto Districts - we add sites in bulk updates, not as one here and one there.

Hopefully the next update can be rolled out soon, but we’re currently more focused on the site rebuild. We have no current estimate for when this will be ready. Thank you for your patience, and of course, all of your support so far!

I did nothing and got added (I was not even aware of it until a few days ago) I think they manually add sites when they fit in their categories

But judging by their activity I think they will add your site if you ask and provide a description for it

We find and add most of the listed sites ourselves, whether it be through looking at the activity feed, tag searching or otherwise - we then gather these together and update periodically when we have a decent amount of sites ready.

Asking us to look at your site is fine too, though! If we think you have a decent enough amount of content we’ll find a place to add you. We write the descriptions by ourselves to try to keep Districts unbiased. Apologies for the late reply.
