Didn't even give thoughts about Mil Sim. I like it, it's wholesome, it's inspiring, it gives me ideas for my own writing, i like the gun talk, and i like that i can't decide who best girl is. Mai's messy and poorðŸ˜ðŸ‘Œ but Hikari's wit is not to be underestimated. I like that Asura's going to be ok, redemption for villains is COOL actually

Calling Doom "2.5D" is an insult to the 3D feeling of that game. You mean that just because the Doom world doesn't have multiple floors on top of each other and no doors open sideways it's not 3D? Doom is 3D because it looks and feels 3D! Even the most realistic game's 3D is a two-dimensional illusion on your flat computer screen, how come Doom's illusion doesn't count just because its math is more limited?

Bone was right, Romancia is unplayable. The double jump is ridiculous, I can't imagine why they made it like that. It must have been some mistake.

I've played it on both MSX and Famicom. Got cooked both times! (First Famicom game I ever owned, back when the only way to play such games in the US was with a top-loader and Gyromite converter.... dark times!)... And yes a lot of these old computers look like PHAT KEYBOARDS; a horizontal motherboard is under the keys and there are ports all along the sides/back. In America the C64, Amiga, TI-99/4A, Tandy Color, etc.

Am I almost done with Xak? When you move to the 2nd chapter, you can't revisit areas in the first, I HATE THAT. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T GO BACK HOME AND VISIT THE GIRL AT THE HOSPITAL? if the game ends soon I'll forgive it but that's such a bummer. I'm pretty sure there's even at least 1 item you can miss. I got it but what if I hadn't? 🫩

Xak!!!!!!!! btw there's a FANTASTIC "Xak Book I & II" on PC Engine CD. It does the same thing as Ys PCE, where the two games are combined into one with a cut scene bridging them. Sadly only in Japanese though.
