i have been sick for the past few days and am just learning about what's going on rn... i'm not planning on leaving though (maybe someday, but that's likely far off from now).

i feel the topic of AI deserves some nuance, any tech can be used for good or for ill, but there are very real ethical concerns of present generative AIs and the ways they are made and used that i feel shouldn't be glossed over, esp given the very real context of creative workers grappling with having data used without permission,
or execs utilizing AI instead of workers to save money in a time where making a stable income is already immensely difficult
also @funkydealer apparently Kyle, Neocities' founder, released a blog post on AI about a year and a few months ago which has people alarmed. not necessarily unfounded concerns imo https://kyledrake.com/writings/ai
