a general misconception of people believing that pansexual and bisexual are the same thing. they just generally believe that pansexuality is another fancy way of saying bisexuality but with added transphobia. 'it paints over what bisexuality is'. which is absolutely NOT true at all, people just refuse to do any form of google search nowadays.
ive heard the inverse, that being bi is panphobic, and the argument this person gave me was that "pan existed before bi and bi was just created as an extra label and doesnt need to exist" but like... bi has a reason to exist? so i dont? get it? havent heard of pan being biphobic tho
