hii sorry if this is a silly question but im currently adding other peoples buttons to my site, and i was wondering whether i download the button image to my site, or not? or does it matter? i just dont want to hotlink or do anything wrong XD

if you dont download and link the url directly, thats called hotlinking! i dont recommend hotlinking bc some hosts might block you (neocities doesnt), or some people dont want you using up their bandwidth (but for a button, bandwidth is nearly negligible) and if the webmaster changes the url, your image breaks. if you download, youd have to redownload if they update their button. i always download, i just like having
