I had to read this book for my HSC, the high school leaving certificate in NSW Australia. It wasn't until university that I appreciated how clever Austen is, though. A good choice!

These posts always make me think I made the wrong choice trying to tackle Water Margin rather than Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but also that I need to get back to it.

Is that Outlaws of the Marsh? I actually have a copy of that! I had a hard time with it and never finished... probably because I was still in high school, and it didn't have a popular video game franchise to familiarize me with the characters. But I've thought of tackling it again. Just need to rescue it from my dad's place first.

I've been picking away at the Canterbury Tales for over a year now. I am down to the last tale and I CAN TASTE IT.

...Except it's 45 pages of straight sermon, huh boy. For reference, the Manciple's Tale was maybe 6 or so and had the decency to at least rhyme.

Hey, don't thank me, thank... Miela's stomach ache I guess? I'm pretty sure I thought "wow, this person was nice enough to offer a well-wish". And then I also liked your site, so really you're winning on two counts.
That's the end of the Red Cliffs arc. Incredibly fun stuff.
