Hope your surgery goes well. If you can get someone around for that first week just so you have help if you need it, it could make a big difference, especially if you're not able to move much. Maybe you could grab someone for the first few days and then swap out with someone else for the next few days if no one is around to commit to a full week.

@pixelglade - thanks for the suggestions! One of my friends is already figuring out a rota and everyone knows how I feel about all the people all the time so I think we're all on the same page of seeing how it goes after the first few days.

Thanks for the list of postcard clubs. I joined Postcrossing a couple of months ago and am trying to use up cards I've already got, but people have a wider variety of interests than stuff I liked in an art museum I visited 10 years ago.

@emilynhoward - postcrossing is so frustrating when people don't want what you have. I think someone should just be grateful you took the time to mail them a postcard. I thought Postcrossing was supposed to be more about connections than completing someone's personal post card collection but maybe I'm wrong. 🤷
