What an odious group. Being able to speak in favour of those books sounds like it would be a good thing though. I do not feel qualified to cast judgement on the shit birds but I enjoyed reading all the catty opinions.

My job is making books for school libraries, and it seems like I'm always hearing news of another district or entire state trying to ban books with "objectionable" material. For example, I am longer allowed to use the term "Gulf of Mexico" in a book for fear of making it unbuyable in Florida. It is enraging that these people have that much power.

what a lovely post. i'm with you on the subject of the afterlife. i consider myself a rational person overall but i think we could all benefit from leaving a little room to the possibility of something that's beyond our understanding.

15 is a good mortification age. I cried on a school trip when I was 15 - like properly cried, so much that my contact lens got stuck and one of the parents had to help me fish it out. That one still haunts me!

I’m thinking of the time 20-year-old me walked through Minneapolis with my skirt tucked into my tights. It must have been BLOCKS: out of whichever building I was coming out of, across my college campus, down a busy street past the frat houses, until some kind person told me my entire ass was out for the world to see 😂

@skep, hah! No, I have a light box that came with a bunch of colored background inserts and that was one of them.
This one is so pretty! I end up loving so many tiaras you post but something about the level of detail in this one is standing out to me 🥺. Also I love that you share these finds thank you so much! They're such a treat and inspiring design wise
@floral-tears, I'm always so excited when someone else lets me know that they love the tiaras, too! With this one, it amazes me to think that each tiny leaf (and look how many there are!) was created separately. Such a lot of work went into that piece.
