thinkpads and macbooks? excellent taste in laptops. the early retina MPBs are fun these days, i have one with a 2nd gen i5 that needs 60% CPU to play a 1080p video :D

@greenbox - I'm not sure about the others, but if you've got a 15" macbook pro retina from 2013, you might be excited that you can upgrade it with a logic board from the mid-2014 macbook pro! Around January I upgraded my MBP from a 2ghz cpu + 8gb of ram to 2.8ghz and 16gb of ram!

It's funny, I'm really just interested in MacBooks and ThinkPads from 2007-2013. It's like this sweet spot where they're easy to repair, moddable, dirt cheap, still totally usable for all web-related tasks, and they look really cool. The design language from the era seems to compliment surfing and building on the personal web really well!

2026 media absorption summary: - Backrooms. 7/10. Had some great ideas but the execution was everywhere and kind of sucked. Did not orgasm. - Everything Everywhere All At Once. 10/10. Honestly I don't think a movie can get better than this. It *is* everything everywhere, but with purpose and cohesion plot-wise. I somehow wanted the ending to be a little different, but that's not a big deal because everything else

- Iron Lung. 8/10. I did really like it but I can see why others wouldn't, and it's probably not something I'll be thinking about too much. It's just "damn" and that's it, y'know? - In This Castle We Have Always Lived (book). 10/10. I don't think a book can get better than this. I can sort of see why some people don't care for the ending, but every review that says it seems meaningless pisses me off greatly.
