tfw sadgrl's site was a whole library of resources (including other layouts) but people just orbit to her layout builder... It's actually a pretty versatile layout, but I see less people use it as an actual base and just don't even bother changing the colors or background.

Oh no I see what you mean about the new people, thats very disappointing bc this site isn't fucking twitter, and people shouldn't be treating it like it is. Also yeah it sucks that people are only drawn in by a ' pretty layout ' too, and ignore the sites actual content.
so real abt the social media thing, it kind of makes me so anxious to use neocities. it's partly why i've set my site to 18+ since it seems to be mostly kids/teens using the neocities feed as a xitter equivalent.
