I love this Q&A idea so much! Would you mind if I impleneted something similar? I wouldn't bite your code/style or anything - just never seen it on Neo, or anywhere really outside of Tumblr.

i used firefox and nothing has ever looked broken for me???

fonts aren't working because cors won't connect for me. even when i've used direct paths and complete urls on two different servers ): and the lace is loading at least 20 pixels off, and cors also won't connect the tooltip script. idk what's going on

oh yikes. i was potentially cached as when I look now I can see what you mean. seems like a recent change. the assets are trying to load over https but your gensoukai.net site is loading over http (not secure) so there is a mismatch. could an ssl certificate have expired?

i did completely switch hosts and servers, so that could be why. i'd thought i'd had it set to https and there should be certificates. the weird thing is i also tried linking from neocities as well and it also gave the error ;A;

i don't say this in a mean way but as a warning: if i have to look at your source code to try and find out what font you're using, you're probably infringing on the font's license. fonts also require credits. aside from being rude, most free fonts fall under creative commons and LEGALLY require credit

yes, even for personal use on hobby sites

where should we put credits? or should we refrain from using these fonts?

on a links/credits page should suffice! linking to the creator's site of choice is the best bet, but linking to where you downloaded the font from (such as a respository like dafont) should work if the creator's site is down

strawberry-gashes 1 year ago

noting the credit in your code itself in addition to a link somewhere on your site is also a backup option just to be absolutely sure you're covering it

open letter to everyone who runs a webring with a script members can't edit: please make links open in a new tab/window (target="_blank") so visitors can still remain on the page they're one ;A;
