Hard to pick between "employment agency forms" and "coding proper screen size scaling in CSS" for the title of most mindnumbing slog. Hard to feel like a creative in those moments. But your work certainly pays off, your site is always a treat to peruse. Good luck with the Yakuza games; they're almost a little too fun to not play all the way through in one go

Definitely, absolute tedium that I will be procrastinating from now on. But I'm so glad! And yeah, I'm so excited to get onto the turn based ones that its hard not to just keep going. I dont dare look at the combined hours of playtime so far haha.

There doesn't seem to be an answer, like it was never considered. Kind of strange considering they still actively update it, at least with seasonal campaigns.

I didn't realize that there were any new games in the MediEvil franchise. That was a nostalgic game I remember well from my childhood (the original MediEvil) but I'll probably not bother with the reboot (already have so many other interesting things to play or to do). Anyway though, regarding Diablo 3, asterion, the reason is probably something to do with the royalty rates and/or the costs of re-release in AAA dev.

One thing people often doen't realize about AAA games is how huge their advertising costs are. I've looked at Blizzard budget reports before and I know that on at least one game they spent more than half their entire dev budget just on advertising alone. Re-releases of games influence the reputation of a studio or publisher and so if they don't get enough sales their reputation can be harmed.

Therefore, when a AAA company re-releases a game they may feel compelled to invest ad spend in it, but for older games which are also going to be subject to a steep platform royalty rates (such as on Steam, though big companies negotiate custom deals that are much better and not the blanket 30% that small companies get). I used to work in AAA about a decade ago, but only as a programmer not a manager. Just theories.

There was a rerelease of MediEvil 2 also, but I couldn't find a trailer. Going to be adding other, older games that are on a list, but I wanted to find newer ones first.

Meanwhile, "conservatives" (through "Project 2025") and "neo-nazis" (through "The Great Replacement" ideology) are being treated as the "useful idiots" for bringing that plan to fruition within the U.S...a "world in chains" scenario shortly thereafter.

yeah, i deeply despise living in the timeline where the NYT is interviewing moldbug on the trajectory of statesia. The depressing part being not that they are interviewing him, but that they are right to do so. As for those concepts being used as rationalisation, i don't think they are. Lying about what you're doing is different from rationalising it...

and i doubt many of the critters in question are coherent enough to actually have values in any meaningful sense. They're not being duped into cooperating with the technocapital singularity, they're profiting myopically and they do not have any non-myopic goals to be betrayed.

As for the neo-nazis, i don't think they deserve quotation marks. They are what they are and so they too may get their temporary boons. Sure, they'll be disenfranchisedand in time shredded, but fascism has always been a death-cult and as benjamin astutely noted, they aren't being tricked by aestetics, *the aesthetics is all they care about*.

The outer-right trifecta, if things go by Land's design will doom the rest of us *before* they start tearing out each other's throats, though pythia will not care about the order in which her blood-sacrifice was spilled. Dreadful. The degree to which these freaks fascinate me is not worth the pains of living in a world in which they are worth writing about. Such worlds are fragile.
