Oh yeah your post had me really thinking! Probably procrastinated too long today writing my post

Thanks! I mainly run GPU accelerated simulations. Some people run massively parallel simulations on CPU research clusters (e.g. Archer 2). However accessing GPU clusters is expensive and difficult (you need a large budget) and funders tend to prioritise AI related work. With my limited budget then I run my simulations on two desktop GPU workstations which works well enough for up-to several hundred thousand particles

Very cool! I once worked on a simulation project and I can relate to the pain of having to wait for computations to finish xD

I'm quite pleased with this latest post. It's going to become a section of a longer essay hopefully.
New "treatise" (essay). I have attempted to argue in favour of a physicalist understanding of the mind whilst not contradicting creedal Christianity. Bit of a long read tbf
The "P-car" allegory is interesting.
Glad you thought so
HEY! This is exactly the type of thing I was talking about in my post just now!
Thanks for replying :)
Thanks rainight, really appreciate the chance to think about these ideas (or am I just simulating thinking about these ideas). I was slightly obsessively typing away at this on my phone notes app all weekend.
