Vegans having reasonable points about animal welfare (and environmental issues) is why even though I'm ex-vegan I can't fully be anti-vegan in good faith. Even if you don't think animal products are inherently immoral (I don't), the way the average omnivore is disconnected with where their food and products even come from (+ buy into PR propaganda) is worrying.
@hardmachine I'm an ex-vegan too! I 100% agree, honestly sometimes antivegans annoy me more because of how... accepting(?) they are when it comes to suffering. Reeks of a lack of empathy that I don't vibe with.
I actually have more respect for non-vegans or even anti-vegans who straight up don't care ("that sucks but I have to eat too") than the cognitive dissonance a lot of meat eaters have when they're confronted with seeing the process of factory farming. When I was vegan and explained my reasons why, it was telling how people got angry at me for Saying It but couldn't refute my arguments.
I dunno if this is late, but making a hot take page is a good idea, and I might make one day.
Thank you!! I think is pretty obvious I have a favourite colour palette haha
