thank you so much!!! ^-^

if you're on a schmup kick, i'd say my fave is Gradius 3 and Lifeforce (if you have a friend to play with coop is great). Parodius is a lovely antithesis of all those Konami games and my fave platform game that ties in schmup elements is Rocket Knight Adventures for the Sega Genesis. Infact, now I think I'm going to go play that game...

Ahhh, this brought back such a strange memory of my dad telling me I'd never see stage 3 in Gradius III as a first or second grader! I don't remember the context, but I stopped playing it after that- what a strange thing to think about! I know I have at least one Parodius on hand, though, so I'll take your rec on it later! I'll have to look into Rocket Knight, too, I had no idea what sort of game that was!

thank you! your site is super cool too. it's so nostalgic to explore.

YOU FOOL! you've made the mistake of sharing YOUR 88x31 button with THE WORLD! well guess what? now YOUR button is going to be plastered upon MY wall of buttons! AHAHAHAHAHAHA *spins in throne in a childish manner as the camera pans out to an overhead view of the surrounding megatropolis, followed by cartoonishly loud maniacal evil supermastermind laughter*
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll do what I can! I didnt realize the 1px grid wasn't working on that build. Hopefully I can have a build out by the end of the week with all the changes :))

Thanks! What happens with the 1px grid is that you can't seem to select it so it doesn't switch, but I can select every other option for the grid and toggle them on and off with the checkbox.

I think I'm in love... with this website. MIDI player... FX features in Paint... wonderful.

Thank you! There is so much to do, and a big update coming once some serious bugs can be fixed. I was hoping the updates for Paint99 would cater to pixel artists. Do you have any big requests for a feature or two?

pixelglade's avatar pixelglade 3 weeks ago

One thing that would help a ton is making sure the 1px grid works, at the moment I can't click on it for some reason. (Also maybe it should be pixel units rather than point units (pt), but if this is how windows used to call pixels I don't mind). Another useful thing could be the ability to save a colour palette as well as export and import it (the open GPL format that GIMP and Inkscape uses might be simple enough).

Some other ideas: the ability to zoom around on the bitmap view (or stop it from immediately closing, so you can look at it), ability to Save As a GIF or PNG format. A more complicated request is removing anti aliasing from the fonts, I wouldn't have a clue how to go about doing that but I know Aseprite and Clip Studio Paint have toggle settings for it.
