Hello earthlings, I made some rather large optimization changes to the Chattable JS Library (main.min.js) which is the script you embed into your site to style your chat. This adds some extra padding so very beginner devs can use my tool before (yes, before) the page is loaded. Also added some *semantic* elements in place of DIVs to fit web standards, improve SEO, and admittedly to get in the habit of using them.

The script changes also improve the speed the style is applied to the chat and added more error messages in the event of an error. Please, it is imperative that you report any new bugs! Find something critical and you will be compensated, no questions asked.

Chattable is averaging ~3k unique visitors per day. I don't yet have analytics if they're the same 3k people every day yet but that's still pretty cool

I know there's a lot of hate for AI here, but we're actively making a difference to help it become a better research tool. A certain large AI development company has accepted a proposal of mine to add special training on Chattable! Everything from account concerns to implementation! Excited to see what the future holds :D

I want to emphasize that database data (chat data, account data, settings data) are not being shared with this company. We are only sharing code snippets, documentation of the setup process, documentation of troubleshooting, etc.

@kirbydogs No, as Xobyte said, nothing you send in chats nor prior messages will be shared with the company to train their model on. The only thing that seems will be shared is behind the scenes stuff all created by Xobyte (eg; code)

Thanks @jonathn, and you are correct. No chat data (this includes messages, old and new) will be shared with the company.

I have made changes to the emojiTrayToggle button on the in-chat UI. Instead of an IMG element, it's a BUTTON element with a background image. This was done to make it easier for everyone to customize their emojiTrayToggle icon if they choose, just by re-setting the background-image property.

Wow. The calculations you used to make this scale amazingly (the home page is what captured me) is amazing. You can really see the work you put in (especially blown away by the clickable bookshelf) the concepts are so simple in nature but wow, this is pulled together so well. AND the color coded blinkies on the links page? FIRE.

thank you so much! the calculations were fun to figure out. my homepage hasn't changed much visually for a long time, but i've made a lot of subtle changes to the underlying code. thanks for noticing!

Did you know you can !lock and !unlock your chat? If you ever want the discussion to be limited, you can limit the conversation to just you and your moderators using these commands if needed.
