Rule 1 of neocities is don't make friends on neocities. Admire from afar. I am admiring you all from afar. Also, rule 2 is update your site with cool Content intermittently.

@bugland I wish your site was still up! you were easily my favorite, I don't want to remove my link to your page :/ Neocities really shouldn't be a social media platform, just a place to look at other people's Cool Net Collections.

The WWW turned 30 Earth-years old today. I only wish I had more to say to mark the occasion. I've been digging through early web browsers and old webpages out of my own intellectual curiosity. We take too much for granted sometimes as developers of these technologies. I believe there should be more room on the web for primitive browsers to compete, and that to some extent, old tech that still works perfectly fine.

Maybe I'm just being nostalgic for simpler times. I'm just glad we have standards now. Pre-standards web JavaScript is downright masochistic to program for. Especially considering externalities such as potential memory leaks, bigger performance caveats, and generally less performant hardware if you're simulating the experience of [pre-] dot-com bubble period web browsing as accurately as possible.

hey bugland, I like your site and I find bugs interesting. I don't know what happened, I missed it; but it sucks that you were hurt by the community. imo the most important thing of a website here is that you have fun creating it. If you don't like it, you can abandon it, and resume it after a while if you feel like it, idk. Maybe reupload your old site in the meantime? and later update when you feel like it.♥😊

thank you... i don't want to get into details for a lot of reasons but it's mostly regarding an infamous group of ppl who admittedly were all over my site, i could notttt deal with how steeped in them it was. i don't want to see that. i don't want other people to see it and associate them with me anymore. if it was just burnout i'd have left it up..
