Your web design is absolutely gorgeous! I love the colour scheme and the simplicity of it all. Also, I've absolutely been in the same position as you. I ended up having to drop out of school for the sake of my mental health when I was 16. It ended up being one of the best decisions I ever made. I returned to schooling afterwards with a completely different outlook and goal.

You're not a failure whatever happens! It's ok to be selfish sometimes. Whatever happens, you're not alone in what you're going through, and your fellow burned out gifted kids are rooting for you!

As someone in a similar grade as you, I seemed to develop these types of thoughts, however in a different situation. All I can hope is you get better and remember that you're not alone in thought. Overall, I really love your layout! It feels calming in a way.

Your experience sounds a lot like how i felt in 8th grade. 8th grade is like, the moment we enter gifted kid burnout it seems like TvT i was also pretty mentally exhausted during that time. as someone who survived 8th grade though, you will brave through it, grow, and discover a lot more about yourself!

it seems horrible right now, but you’re figuring it all out, and the grade before highschool is pretty tough especially with hormones and all. it will all be okay tho. <3

1/3 ;; thank you .. your response seemed very thought out, i appreciate it. gifted kid burnout is so real, i find myself needing to rebuild a lot of myself and my foundations, i guess it was different when i was younger - i barely studied for tests or needed to put a lot of effort into assignments usually, but it's different now. it's not exactly a bad thing.

2/3 ;; mental exhaustion describes a lot about how i feel, i'm trying my best to focus on doing things i like, and i'm trying to embrace flexibility, and following my "instincts", if that made sense. i think it's helping me, i dont feel i'm suited for rigid routines

i still have to read cat's eye! the next atwood on my list is "the blind assassin" because i found a copy of it in a little free library. i like her work a lot, my favs are probably "power politics", "wilderness tips", and "oryx and crake"!

Interesting headcanon backstory for him! Death Note has some interesting gaps left behind by O&O being plot and action first, so there's a ton of stuff about the characters left unsaid. One of my favorite pieces of DN doujin is "Angelic Reeds" which provides something of a backstory and character motivations for Near.

yes i do agree ! death note seems to value plot and message over the backstories of characters. i like that, it seems very carefully planned. i enjoy writing extensions though ! angelic reeds is very well made ! i like the art, it is very expressive ^ ^
