i'd also have a website where i dump the general midi versions of all my songs because why not? (i kind of already do that, but i'm not a composer from the '90s and my instruments rack is virtual)

The same social pressures still existed back then. "Jobs" tend to degrade into oppression, even when they focus on an activity that we deeply enjoy. But survival and creativity should complement, strengthening each other, not become a trade-off where both are compromised.

In short, what you choose to do will always be meaningful, whether or not you are paid for it.

my first website that i made in computer apps II class in high school was on tripod, i could only have 20 MB as a free user. even subscribers could only have 100 MB. my neocities site is only about 45 MB and ive been making edits nearly everyday since 2023.

It's amazing isn't it? I like uploading much larger images to my website and I've only used 1/5 of the available space after updating monthly for around the same amount of time. I shouldn't run out of storage anytime soon.

70 KB is nothing compared to my 100+ MB heaviest video file. Then again they are hosted elsewhere to avoid bandwidth overload thus I have plenty of space.

oh wait it's the scaled-down version so it was only 64kb. oh well. anyway it's gonna take the neocities preview a little while to catch up but my homepage is back to normal. yes. everything, quite normal now. (it is)
Good luck. That will put them on the feed, which is my primary way of discovering pages on here, so I look forward to seeing that
