i realised a few days ago that the "emulation vs. vc" article for 3DS was creating more confusion than it solved, so i completely rewrote it. and also linked to it which i apparently never got round to doing the first time.

catbox is down. catbox is ALWAYS down. at this point i need to switch filehosts just for the sake of reliability, but where to...? (and dont say filegarden or soundcloud. filegarden doesnt have any sort of privacy policy and soundcloud is soundcloud so, right)

i'd almost say proton drive since they do have link sharing but i dunno proton's own privacy policy to really be confident, nor how well the link sharing handles being used. potential option to look into? unfortunately im not very aware of many filehosts myself

the main issues with both of those suggestions is you can't embed files afaik and, even if you can, you cant use them as cdn's. technically you can't use catbox as a cdn either but he doesnt have problems with it unless you're using it commercially.

how does that work exactly? how do people who use genAI find my site, see the big ass "AI Sucks and if you disagree then You Suck, Too" graphic, and go "yeah this looks promising, i think i'll follow her"??? like, how much more blunt can i get here? generative ai sucks and anyone who uses it for any reason needs to die 1000 deaths in the spider pit ‾\_(ツ)_/‾

^no. painting with your own shit would be mindblowingly gross and therefore innovative and beautiful and sexy (not to me, but to someone). using gen ai to make a website is like killing things, causing droughts, etc., for your ego & convenience
