I didn't even realize there had been a call for boycott and here I was watching videos with not a care in the world - thank you for this post!!

yt doesnt record viewing data from frontends, but it's less about following the boycott to the letter and more about the principle of it. yt is yt regardless of how you watch it.

same with reddit, especially with the decline in forums and increase in AI/SEO slop sites. it's hard to find human discussions and answers elsewhere, even with reddit's rampant bot problem

Exactly.. I like a ton of obscure crap, & I'm not sure where to watch it outside of YouTube. Like everything's there.

I swear im making changes to that sims 4 story page! im just commenting them out until i can finish it (dragging my feet on it a bit actually)
cos now, you've got to have a working knowledge of html in order to make anything. before, you had a template to change and build upon. now what do you get? nothing.
I actually found the new pages having code by default a bit annoying. But I agree, the change does suck for new users. Wish they kept the default page design, with the option to turn it off in the settings if you want blank documents.
i could upload a copy of the template to my site, and just leave it as a resource that others can copy/paste onto their sites!
