this is hilarious but it turns out that my adblocker was blocking the fake ads on my 2020s page... I noticed before that on some browsers they're not displayed and only today figured out why... renamed the ".ad" classes to ".fake-ad" and it works again xD

official update to the fanlist i won't be able to state in the rules atm: if you submit to the fanlist with a social media link instead of a website link, you will be given an option to leave your website link blank but remain on the fanlist, offer made via email. this will be reflected on the rules page by tomorrow

i felt bad rejecting people that earnestly sent a social media link but had to be turned away, so this is how i'm changing the rules for the forseeable future to ensure everyone gets an option even if it isn't exactly how they want, since i do still strive for this fanlist to be for the indie web

Today it was my turn to have my content stolen and used for hecking crypto stuff. Please know, I DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH ANYTHING CRYPTO RELATED, do not buy any coins or whatever sh*t that is using my name. Trying to deal with this now :/

They're also impersonating those whom they steal from, linking false Twitter profiles, Telegram channels and fake websites to these shitcoins (example). There's not much reason to worry, though,

on a quick look at the site though, it seems that people getting scammed are those paying to create those coins believing they will increase in value

uuugh this is so annoying. I added a post to my microblog stating i'm not associated with any crypto/NFT but i should plan a fixed and clear place to state that. It's so sad that people's content get stolen like that, especially by scammers
