I've noticed myself growing more threatened by the prospect of having my time taken away from me and becoming agitated when it happens. Why does it feel like I have a million things to do? Nobody needs to track so many variables at all times. I suspect this is the true price of "convenience".

That's exactly it! I'm not sure if this is the case for you, but even things I enjoy gives me a haunting sense that I should have done the other thing(s). And then I swear that I can hoard time by streamlining all the things and spend a glorious few hours. But then I get that time and am like oh... I'm too tired because I was optimizing and overthinking it all and spend half that time in choice paralysis >_<

I do get why people are upset, but I also think it's sort of overblown. #NotAllKnitters, but I think a lot of people in the fiber arts community really just love finding new things to feel persecuted about. Justified? Maybe, maybe not. I wanna reiterate again that ultimately I don't care, lmfao.

I saw the Hank Green vid and feel similar to you, but I confess that I took umbrage when I saw his image of stockinette was reverse stockinette (or vice versa? it messed with my head)
