anywhoozles, made some adjustments to the "is typing" indicator, added a fullscreen loading screen while loading chats on initial load, a few bug improvements, fixed messages that start with an inline image/embedded image, changed how you view embedded images when they're clicked,

Hold up, I'm genuinely curious about this. How big can a JSON file be? I did not realize you could use them for full databasing like you are.

There's no limit to how big a JSON file can be. JSON databases can become difficult to manage/query efficiently on deeply nested structures, but with a good, simple structure JSON can be very efficient and perfect for database applications.

The entirety of the Chattable database is a 10mb JSON file, hundreds of chats, and hundreds of thousands of messages. Not to mention account & chat data. If you can keep the structure simple, it will work for any project.

Updates: Each chat has a max cap of 100 messages, older messages will auto remove as new messages roll in. Use the download transcript option to preserve conversations if needed. New max cap on owned chats, has been changed from unlimited to 10. If you already own >10 chats they will not be deleted, but you will not be able to create any more until you delete some.

I also have a snapshot of the DB before the update so if anyone wants a copy of their chat transcript before this was implemented reach out to me/support via email

Added a way to select messages that only contain emojis, use the following selector, ".allMessages.containsOnlyEmojis .emoji" whichs selects all emoji elements in a message that's content is only emoji(s)

Ever wanted to know when someone in chat is typing? No? Too bad, it's fully functional in beta, soon to release to production. You can see realtime updates when people are typing in chat. Just one of those small quality of life updates

Hello earthlings, I made some rather large optimization changes to the Chattable JS Library (main.min.js) which is the script you embed into your site to style your chat. This adds some extra padding so very beginner devs can use my tool before (yes, before) the page is loaded. Also added some *semantic* elements in place of DIVs to fit web standards, improve SEO, and admittedly to get in the habit of using them.

The script changes also improve the speed the style is applied to the chat and added more error messages in the event of an error. Please, it is imperative that you report any new bugs! Find something critical and you will be compensated, no questions asked.
