Cache busting CSS and JS wasn't too complex. But MAN, HTML file cache busting, combined with the fact Neocities has a bug with ?cb=xxx where it does the opposite of expected and often serves stale pages. And wanting to remain compatible with other hosts and the file system. Well, let's just say it's been a learning experience 😂😂😂. The code is written, tested on the file system and XAMPP. Now to test live lol.

i am so sick of ai integration. im so sick of companies doubling down on ai integration. im sick of people who just throw their hands in the air and go "welp nothin i can do, better just use it an be happy about it" or "hey cool now i never need to use my brain for anything ever again". i've been saying this for 3 years, i have nothing original to say anymore.

you drive down the street, your car gets documented by an ai powered number plate scanner. you download videos from the internet archive, "1080p genAI upscaled version". you go out to eat, the kiosk is ai. you scroll through social media, half the posts are ai. you post on social media, you train the ai models. you put your original art onto your website, the host uses it to train midjourney.

I work with documentation and I review a lot of people's stuff and I'm like, this doesn't even follow the most basic accessibility structure. everyone at my department got 6 hours of training, and now they just use AI and don't even check it. "co-pilot said it was accessible" Cool but you didn't put any headings here and that's the literal most basic thing that you could do for accessibility.

I'm so angry on their behalf. by doing this at your job, you're proving the point they want to make. why are you allowing them to take your job? use your brain!! otherwise I'm going to get stuck here with AI coworkers because I'm the only one validating anything.
