EP2ADD1::"████'s structuring device presents unexpected outside interference." - this adds an optional hard mode area in the collapse memory, it appears in the research chamber only if you have ever started the EP2 boss before (does not have to be in the same iteration). beware: it was designed with items in mind and may be especially difficult without them

for those who want more exploration than little RPG fights, i will soon begin EP2ADD2 - which will give a break from the embassy in the form of additions to other pages. we have been spending a lot of time in the embassy, and there is still more to do there, but i want to ensure there is still plenty of cool stuff to find elsewhere!

(P.S. - i think i'm pretty close to figuring out what causes the proxy to run slow on some machines... if you run into a slow proxy situation and you've been in the same embassy instance for a while, save, refresh, load again - that may help)

it's nice, but also kinda sad - i was soo into that game, seeing it in permanent maintenance mode is like watching it decay (but at least people can still experience it for the first time!)

oh, thanks! Spiral knights has to have been my single greatest influence over me, was so into it as a child, even though I didnt get far. I was in a period of playing it more seriously when I made that webtool. Got tired of the grind eventually. We could play it though, sometime, that would be neat!

Fun idea: If a gamesave that does not make sense is detected, like "god" still being undefeted in EP2, make funfriend ask something along the lines of "you haven't been messing with the cyst. right?". Nothing major, just a little message

My website has a musicplayer in the corner and i sometimes put little eastereggs one the 88x31 buttons. Would it be ok if clicking your button changes the music to one of the tracks from the game, either hotlinked or hosted on my page?

so many new eyeballs lately! thank you all for looking at my funny little website!! a vision of the future for you - my plan is to get EP2ADD1 out at the end of this month, and then EP2ADD2 probs sometime mid next month! the first is going to be some collapse side content, and the second is going to focus on adding more cool stuff outside of the embassy. yippee!!

Oh wow what the heck I just entered the site thinking it would be just any other until I realized it was actually a game and decided to play it thinking it was just a short text adventure style game, but now here I am hours later at an ungodly hour in the morning after having experienced a professional quality RPG experience, and am excited to see what is next for this site

I first heard of Corru's site when I was browsing and I read someone saying it was an awesome experience. Though I couldn't play it at the time because of a screen resolution thing. It was only when Corru sent me a message about my art what I felt like checking it out, and boy- It's been an awesome ride

i hear you say, "what's next for corru observer?", and i claw my way out of the nearest faucet to answer: i'm going to add some side areas to the collapse memory as it currently is before continuing to the next part, since i want it to have some harder optional stuff too. i'm also planning to add some things elsewhere, like oh NOO i'm being pulled back into the pit aaahaha bye ebyeee

this is some typo/bug fixes, some updates to the proxy thoughtform system, and!! a new "low intensity" option in the system menu for people with older machines (or people who just don't like the proxy system)!

this is separate from just "low quality" because enabling it gives you additional choices before sequences where you would normally use a proxy thoughtform, to replace the sequence with something else!

proxy thoughtform movement has been moved to a web worker, which should generally make it work nicer across more systems, but i fear that it may not be enough - so that's what the low intensity option is for

finally, the 'low' quality setting has also been updated to change the animation style of proxy thoughtform attacks to be either linear or use steps(), so that they're less animation intensive as well... my hope is that this makes it all a little more accessible

Ooh, how perfect! I just logged in, and gave the changes you added to the proxy system a test drive. It's considerably tighter than before! I managed to go smoothly up to a certain point, when the lag spikes got me again, but it's already a superb improvement in the performance!

Also, I'm very grateful for the "low intensity" setting, since idk how graphically intensive other proxy battles will be for my PC (I'll be always willing to give them a go since I find them fun lol), plus it helped me progress in the uncosm! Thank you so much for the update, Corru!

And before I go- I played EP 2 earlier today, and had a total blast with the new mechanics!! For real, they were surpringly smooth on my machine and were a heckin' lot of fun! And even with the proxy lag nearing the end, I managed to go all the way till that part concluded! Can't wait for more of your stuff!

there is now a "SELECT" button in the system save manager, you can choose an EP to start at! the save will be bare bones, but get you to the spot you want to be. let me know if any weirdness crops up with it! (of course if you visited earlier today, it may take a hard refresh to get to show up)

A have a lil' question (one I think I should've asked sooner): my old laptop didn't handle the proxy fight too well, I had too much lag, so I ended up stumped in the uncosm. Is it possible for me to progress to the other content without facing the entity or not?

@ninacti0n, sort of! the uncosm entity is optional, but there is another similar system in use near the end of this new episode. although I was talking with someone about fixing the choppy proxy movement and we may have a solution for that soon! i wanna see if I can get that written tonight or tomorrow cause that really bugs me

gonna see if we can implement WEB WORKERS to get the proxy movement off the main thread, the issue is that setTimeout and setInterval are way more framerate sensitive than I thought initially

@corru Oh, don’t worry! It’s alright lol, I’m used to not being able to play games on my PC. I was surprised it had managed to run corru.observer, even if the 3D areas were slightly laggy at times. I’m super happy you’re hoping to fix the proxy movement soon, I can’t wait to play the battles!

additionally - the confusion of reaching the end of an episode and wondering 'what do i do next' has been alleviated through a new button that appears when you're done with a portion of older content, along with some other little improvements here and there
