Discord is a communication app! It was originally made for gaming but people use it for all sorts of stuff now, it's on computer and phone and you can make+/join public or private servers! There's dms too

I wasn't @'d but! Discord can be useful, I know some people lists their discords on their sites (I don't but i don't like refuse to give it out lol...) I'd say download it if you make friends that use it and ask if you do too, it's much better in my opinion if you're already in communities where having servers is common (art communities, youtuber ones etc) because it can be really decentralized unless you like (1/2)

Sorry for all the replies lol, but if Skype was something you used regularly at all, Discord is basically Skype 2 but better lol so!
Discord is a pretty good modern messaging app, but with groups and "channels" that you can dedicate to specific topics. It's great for DMing, general group convo and voice chat.
