"Constant consumption has me developing a wordless terror" "I take headphones everywhere" -- so relate. funnily enough the wordless terror just overcame me this week. i guess we're all going through the same hell
@sorbier, oh totally. it's weird though, i feel like all the people around me are cool with the hell though.
omg thank you!! i felt so inspired by your site, especially the how to get out of hell page. the links have given me a lot to think about and i'm excited to keep working on minimizing my phone time
hey, thank you and thanks for the follow too! really cool site, I enjoyed checking out your website archive and the reading log! a lot of interesting picks I'll have to look out for.
this is a very luddite response, but I went to a used bookstore and found a book on it. mine's called "javascript & jquery: interactive front-end web development". Here's the PDF: https://archive.org/details/toaz.info-javascript-jquery-jon-duckett-pr_4c70e305b4d600415912c0b714295db1/mode/1up
solaria on neocities has some basic JS info, but if you want more indepth stuff https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript is good. kind of the basic answer, but it works. w3schools also has a good few tutorials on achieving certain effects-- thats how i have a dropdown nav on mobile!
